Kelsey
My name is Kelsey Blagg, the first District 8 Dairy Princess in 25 years for Fresno and Madera counties. I am student at California State University, Fresno where I am majoring in Animal Science, with an emphasis on Dairy Science and Agriculture Business. Upon graduation my goal is work in the dairy industry.
My family background is in agriculture and it's one of my passions in life. My parents have a grass based heifer ranch where they run purebred and crossbred heifers. Not only do we have dairy heifers but my family also raises club calves and feeder steers. When I was in high school I showed dairy heifers and steers. Because of my love for animals, I am a member of the dairy cattle show team for Fresno State.
Part of my educational experience includes working at the CSU Fresno dairy unit where I feed calves, cows and milk hospital cows. In my free time (which is rare) I enjoy hunting, riding horses, trap shooting, riding quads, rodeos, and fishing.
I have a strong passion for the dairy industry and I look forward to my year as Dairy Princess. The dairy families in California work hard to provide consumers with a healthy product and I am honored to be a part of the team that promotes Real California milk and dairy products.
