One of the most unforgettable memories that I have made as the Kings County Dairy Princess occurred when I traveled to San Jose
for a school presentation. Not only did I have to travel three hours in a suburban, but we decided to do it with a newborn calf! Yes, you read correctly, a day old calf in the back of my mom's suburban!! It definitely was one of the most rewarding experiences because nobody had ever seen a calf before. I was so happy to educate the eager kindergarten, second grade and fifth grade students. I talked to seven classes total. Not only am I teaching these young kids, but they are teaching me as well. I have learned how fortunate I am to have grown up on a dairy and see cows every day of my life.
All the best,
Kaci Raven, District 9 Kings County Dairy Princess+
