I was excited to attend the Tulare County Fair on September 16 - 20. The parade was great, not only because I got to ride in a black convertible Corvette, but because I had so many great people waving and smiling. It was a great turn out and a perfect way to get out in the community other then elementary schools and dairy events. I handed out ribbons and trophies to the winners (and friends). I had an amazing time meeting people and getting the support from all the dairyman and public from around the county. You can't imagine how many people asked me if I worked at Dairy Queen or sold ice cream. I even got asked if it was my birthday, because of the crown. I was happy to explain my role as Dairy Princess.

Sarena and I are planning on going to a few elementary schools together within the next couple weeks. I can not wait to visit the classroom and I have great ideas on how to promote the CMAB, the dairy industry, and the Real California Milk seal, while keeping the children's attention.

My tennis season is officially over today and now I have some extra time on my hands. College and scholarship application are piled on my desk and now I can fill them all out. I didn't realize how long they were, but I am excited to finally take a step out of high school and venture into the "real world." I know my experiences as Dairy Princess will help me with not only public speaking, but I can apply all that I have (and will) learn into my daily life. This is all possible because of the CMAB and my county adviser. Thanks!
