Being the Dairy Princess of District 9 is quite the job

Being the Dairy Princess of District 9 is quite the job... and I love it! It definitely keeps me busy, but what is there to complain about when I have the opportunity to dress up and put a crown on my head several times a month.  I had the chance to be in the Corcoran Cotton Parade. The theme was "Growing Family, Friends, and Fun."  For Corcoran being a small town, there were lots of spectators.  There was about 60 participants in the parade including the Sheriff's Posse, fire engines, several schools marching and chanting, Corcoran High's Color Guard, Marching Bands, and of course the Dairy Princess.

The next items on the agenda for me include serving milk at breakfasts' the next three Sundays, and attending the annual meeting for District 9. The day after Thanksgiving is the Hanford Christmas parade. I am eagerly awaiting this parade because the theme is "A Storybook Christmas." I am excited to decorate my car and perhaps dress up with the theme!

School at Fresno State is getting very crazy as midterms are approaching this week. However, I have been enjoying attending every football game dressed in a unique, red Bulldogs shirt that my friends and I make ourselves! Lots of rhinestones are the way to go! I am counting down the days until Christmas break arrives - 55 days to be exact! I am in desperate need of some relaxing time back on the dairy.

Your District 9 Kings County Dairy Princess,
