With Thanksgivings over, I always look forward to Christmas. It all starts the day after Thanksgiving when we put the Christmas lights up outside. We even have a cow that lights up!

The past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me

The past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me. Having school five days a week, working on the farm, and attending events as the dairy princess, keeps my days very full. On top of all this I now have a baby to feed twice a day. She's very furry and is the perfect mixture of black and white.  One of my registered Holstein cows, Serena, had her very first calf on October 8th and best of all it was a girl!

Happy Fall Everyone

The busiest time of the year is in full swing right now. It’s harvest time!

Well I’m back home from one of the biggest events I have attended so far this year, the California State Fair.

The theme for this year’s fair was “Weird, Wild and Wacky” and believe me there was some pretty weird, wild and wacky events going on. This year I had the privilege to hand out ribbons for the All California Milking Shorthorn Show as well as the Western National Guernsey Show. I had a great time at both of these shows. It always touches my heart to see the tears of joy on people’s faces and how proud they are of their cattle when they get that first place or champion ribbon. The rest of my time at the fair was spent taking care of my own cattle.
